Phoxinus EWG Offset Worm Hooks - Weedless Fishing Hooks

• WEEDLESS - The offset shank features an elbow that positions the hook point along the top of the lure or in the weedless groove. Snags are, therefore, minimised, but when a fish takes the bait, the lure slides away, revealing the razor-sharp hook point.

Sometimes you need to fish your lure in thick weeds or over rough ground which would result in too many snags when using an exposed hook. Weedless lures overcome this problem and Phoxinus EWG (extra wide gap) hooks are perfect for rigging your soft plastics weedlessly.

The shape of the hook holds the lure secure and allows the hook point to lie on top of the lure reducing snags dramatically. Texposing (slightly nicking the point of the hook into the plastic) will decrease snags further. Alterntively, using a lure with a weedless groove allows the hook point to lie inside the lure so it's not exposed at all. Regardless of the method used, the lure can be pulled through heavy weeds and snaggy ground easily but once a fish bites down on it the soft plastic will slide away and expose the hook point at the critical moment.
